I started my dream at an event called epro8. This was held in a huge hall. I used to run this as a teacher. But in the dream we didn't have enough equipment and the group size was too large. I was really embarrassed about the event and tried to share instruction and make the group sizes smaller to share the equipment but everyone had started and no one knew what the challenge was. After this I was on a train with my family and extended family. The train broke down because of rain and we had to use the underground tunnels to escape. I went ahead with a lifeboat that had a hole in it and offered to paddle my family. I was kicking and paddling with all my might and looked behind me to see my family wading in the water and not needing the life boat or my effort. I looked out the window of the tunnel the weather was wild and I could see boats being tossed in the rain. We were now in the sea. We had to get on a ferry. The ferry was deserted and dangerous and I had broken three nails in the tunnels. I went to the shop and took some plasters and a new outfit. I had to find a safe space on the boat as it was dangerous in the storm. We were all placed in the a room with other people. In the room a teacher put lots of posters and reminders on the wall. I also met my admin and tried to plan some event s but I forgot all the dates. She said to go back to my family. I waited in the room and held a baby that really liked me. The baby then vomited on the wall. I didn't notice this. I wasn't allowed off the boat until I cleaned the whole wall. No other marks or posters belonged to me.
Dreams are often a reflection of our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and recent experiences. Here's a possible interpretation of the elements in your dream:
Event and Equipment Shortage: Starting your dream at an event reflects a feeling of being in a leadership role or being responsible for a group. The lack of equipment and large group size may symbolize feelings of inadequacy or anxiety about being prepared for responsibilities in your waking life. You might be concerned about not having all the resources you need to fulfill your roles effectively.
Train with Family: Trains often symbolize life’s journey and the path we are on. Being with your family suggests a focus on connections and familial responsibilities. The train breaking down due to rain may represent unforeseen obstacles or emotional turmoil you or your family are experiencing.
Escape through Tunnels: The underground tunnels could represent a desire to navigate difficult emotions or situations. Using a lifeboat with a hole in it implies that you feel ill-equipped to handle the challenges you face, yet you are still trying to support your family.
Paddling and Family: Struggling to paddle while your family is managing without you signifies feelings of frustration and perhaps a sense of being undervalued or unrecognized for your efforts. You might feel that you are putting in a lot of effort for others while they are capable of handling things on their own.
Deserted Ferry: The ferry being dangerous and deserted could suggest feelings of isolation, vulnerability, or that you feel uncertain about where your current path is leading you. It may also indicate feelings of being adrift in life, particularly in relation to your responsibilities.
Cleaning the Wall: The baby that vomits on the wall you must clean symbolizes the unexpected consequences or burdens that come with your responsibilities. Not noticing the mess can represent areas of your life where you might be ignoring issues or problems. Cleaning the wall before leaving the boat might indicate a need to address and resolve these issues before you can move on.
Posters and Reminders: The posters and reminders could point to the importance of planning and organization in your life. Your struggle to remember event dates might reflect anxiety about your ability to keep up with commitments or responsibilities.
Overall, this dream seems to convey feelings of being overwhelmed by responsibilities, struggling with preparation and support in your personal or professional life, and needing to address ongoing issues before moving forward. It might be worth reflecting on your current obligations, how you feel about them, and whether there are areas where you can seek support or simplify your load.
